Fitness enthusiast: Jennifer Aniston revealed in 2014 that her perfect weight range is 100lbs to 113lbs. Fast forward to now, the 49-year-old star of Horrible Bosses shared with In Style magazine that she has discovered an enjoyable method to feel content with her weight.
Having a blast: The stunning actress, currently busy filming Murder Mystery alongside Adam Sandler in beautiful Italy, shared her passion for boxing in a recent interview. “Last year I stumbled upon boxing, and I absolutely adore it,” the Smartwater ambassador revealed.
The iconic Friends star went on to gush about her trainer Leyon, whom she considers to be the best. “It’s the only workout I’ve been able to stick with consistently apart from yoga. There’s something about the mental challenge of boxing – the drills, the need for your brain to be active – it’s not like just sitting on a stationary bike. It’s truly fantastic.”
Boxing not only serves as a great physical workout for her but also helps in managing any pent-up frustrations she might be feeling. “Boxing is a wonderful outlet to release any aggression. It’s a mental cleanse from all the negativity bombarding you on a daily basis. Sometimes, I even indulge in a little daydream while throwing punches,” she admitted with a chuckle.
“I’m just relieved that it’s not aimed at a real person, although there might be one imaginary target in mind. You catch my drift. It’s all in good fun.”
More enjoyable than a run: The actress from Friends shared, ‘I work out with a trainer named Leyon, who I think is fantastic. Boxing has been the only workout besides yoga that I’ve stuck with for a long time. The mental challenge of boxing, the intense drills, and the active engagement of your brain – it’s not like just pedaling on a stationary bike. It’s truly amazing.’ This was mentioned in 2015.
Everything is going well for her, especially since boxing helps her relieve any pent-up frustrations. She finds boxing to be an effective way to release aggression, allowing her to mentally let go of the stresses from everyday life. She even enjoys the fantasy moments of imagining who she’s punching.
In her upcoming film, a musical called Dumplin’, she portrays a former beauty pageant contestant. When asked if she had ever participated in beauty pageants herself, Aniston laughs and dismisses the idea, pointing out that her appearance as a child was far from pageant-ready. She mentions that the film is centered around redefining beauty and how society perceives it.
Aniston expresses her support for the Miss America pageant’s decision to eliminate the swimsuit competition entirely. She believes that a swimsuit body is simply a body in a swimsuit, regardless of its size or shape. She calls for a change in the outdated notion that beauty is confined to a specific size or shape, emphasizing the need to move beyond such narrow standards.
Discussing her childhood, Jennifer Aniston shared some interesting stories about her past. In her upcoming movie, Dumplin’, she portrays a character who was once involved in beauty pageants. When asked if she had ever participated in them herself, she burst into laughter and replied, “That’s a funny one. No way. Have you seen what I looked like as a kid?”
During the interview, Aniston also reflected on how she has been portrayed in the media. “It’s quite crazy. There are misconceptions like ‘Jen can’t hold onto a man,’ and ‘Jen doesn’t want kids because she’s self-centered and focused on her career.’ Or the assumption that I’m constantly sad and heartbroken. But let me set the record straight – I am not heartbroken,” she explained.
Jennifer recently separated from Justin Theroux, and they are now in the process of getting divorced. Previously, she was married to Brad Pitt for five years and has dated Vince Vaughn and John Mayer as well.
Jennifer ended her relationship with Justin earlier this year, as seen in 2017. The actress from Wanderlust emphasized the importance of not making assumptions about someone’s personal life, especially when it comes to starting a family. Despite facing criticism for not having children like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer expressed how hurtful these comments can be to both her and her partner. She pointed out that people don’t know the struggles she may have faced either medically or emotionally when it comes to having children. Jennifer also highlighted the societal pressure on women to become mothers and questioned whether motherhood is her sole purpose in life. Perhaps she has other roles or tasks to fulfill on this planet besides procreation.
Ideal job: This native of Los Angeles is currently busy filming a movie for Netflix in Italy alongside her co-star Adam Sandler. In the photo, she can be seen with her team of hair and makeup artists.
When it comes to dealing with the pressure of being constantly in the spotlight, Aniston revealed that she does have moments of breakdown, but they usually happen in the privacy of her own home.
She shared, “There are times when I feel off balance and not composed, but I reserve those moments for my personal space. I can usually brush off the absurd headlines and laugh about them. I think they cater to some kind of public demand, but I prefer to focus on my work, my relationships with friends, my pets, and how to contribute positively to the world. The rest of it is just empty calories that don’t add any value.”
Aniston also delved into the issue of sexism in the media, acknowledging that she has faced her fair share of it during her career.
Filming: Capturing a moment with Adam on a luxurious yacht docked along the stunning coastline of Italy.
In society, women are often criticized and compared to one another based on their appearance, style, and other superficial factors. In Hollywood, when a celebrity couple splits, it’s usually the woman who faces public scrutiny and is labeled as the one who failed in the relationship. Why is it that a divorced man without children is never called a spinster?
Regarding workplace harassment, Jennifer Aniston shared that she has experienced inappropriate advances from fellow actors but dealt with it by walking away. Fortunately, she has never felt uncomfortable or been taken advantage of by someone in a position of power.
She’s a breeze to work with on set: Luke Evans, who stars alongside Jen and Adam, raved about their fabulous collaboration. However, the actress revealed that she’s faced harsh treatment from women in the industry in the past. Without dropping any names, Aniston shared her personal experience of being on the receiving end of negative behavior from some female colleagues.
Despite her past encounters, Aniston is fully supportive of the Time’s Up movement. She believes it’s about time for a change, emphasizing the importance of listening to one another, including men in the conversation. She stressed the need for a more open and respectful dialogue, quoting Michelle Obama’s wise words: “When they go low, we go high.”
Aniston’s upcoming project, Murder Mystery, follows a married couple entangled in a murder investigation involving a billionaire. The film is set to hit theaters in 2019.
Having a blast: David Walliams posted a picture from the filming location featuring Jennifer, Adam, and Luke.
