Her caramel-colored locks were styled in effortless waves, and she opted for a natural makeup look. Prior to shooting, she had a mirror brought to her to double-check her makeup. The atmosphere hinted at a dramatic scene, as Jennifer portrayed her character with a pensive expression, captured up close by the cameras.

As the plot unfolds, she must battle to keep her job when her co-host, Mitch Kessler (played by Steve Carell), is fired for inappropriate behavior. This sets the stage for the clashes with Reese Witherspoon’s character, Bradley Jackson, a determined and spontaneous field reporter.
